Cocktails and Chocolate Dreams
From creating an edible chocolate glass for a cocktail representing the UK at a cocktail championship competition, Judging Cocktails for United Kingdom Bartenders Guild to custom creating cocktail chocolates for Gin producers, Miss Witt knows a thing or two about Churning cocktails.
In 2014 Miss Witt helped the World Class Bartender of the Year, James Fowler create chocolates to pair with Whisky for a tasting evening. Miss Witt re-created the Bombay Sapphire, Signature ‘Laverstoke’ cocktail in the form of a chocolate, for resale at their distillery near Winchester.
Matching Chocolate with unique flavours of Liquor is one of Miss Witt's favourite challenges and over the years she has worked with some of the finest bartenders in the UK. One of her most imaginative creations was an edible chocolate ‘glass’ layered with sea salt, lime and thyme to work with a Mezcal based cocktail for a national cocktail competition, it went on to rank within the top 50 cocktails in 2015.
She has also worked with Pothecary Gin, creating a cocktail chocolate using the botanicals within the gin, Mulberry and Lemon which were sold with the Pothecary Gin gift sets sold in various high-end retailers including Harvey Nichols. This very chocolate then went on to win Miss Witt a silver medal at the prestigious academy of chocolate awards. There is no Muddling with Miss Witt’s knowledge and experience when it comes to Chocolate and Cocktails!
Perfect for Gin Lovers and currently available in Miss Witt’s online store, is a specially created ‘Explorers Gin’ chocolate created in collaboration with Downton Distillery.

Learn to make a cocktail chocolate or mocktail chocolate of your own invention.
In your teams, you will decide on a recipe for your chocolates using a choice of different gins, spirits and flavoured syrups to create a cocktail chocolate and a mocktail chocolate.
The Teams will have a selection of different top quality chocolate from around the globe to work with; either milk chocolate, white or dark.
Some ideas to inspire the imagination? How about a South Side using gin, mint, lime and white chocolate or a Dark and Stormy, with ginger, rum and dark chocolate, or maybe even a Winter Spice mocktail -chocolate using milk chocolate, biscoff, and toffee syrup?
Working in teams you will be shown how to make your chocolate creations, learn the skill of tempering chocolate and how to hand roll your chocolate truffles before wrapping them up to take them home.
Miss Witt will taste all of your creations and decide on a winning cocktail chocolate and a winning mocktail chocolate with a prize for the winning team.
